Following our NnG supply chain events, I would like to update you on the progress of the NnG project and how the current crisis is affecting us.
I hope you, your colleagues and loved ones are well during these extremely challenging times and I’d like to say that our first thoughts are for your and everybody’s wellbeing.
The impact of coronavirus on our everyday lives is unprecedented so I wanted to get in touch with our project’s Scottish supply chain to let you know that EDF Renewables and ESB, joint owners of NnG, remain excited and confident about delivering this project.
Like the majority of people across the UK, and in line with government advice, the NnG project team are all currently working from home but as hard as ever, to deliver what will be an incredible project for Scotland.
I met many of you last month at our recent series of events held across the East coast of Scotland, where we emphasised that we are committed to using the Scottish supply chain as much as possible.
I understand how tough it must be for many businesses within the supply chain during these difficult times, and one of the biggest challenges for businesses across the world is the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Health and safety is at the forefront of what we do and it is imperative that we only continue developing NnG when and where it is safe to do so.
However, I want to reassure you that we remain as committed as we always have to making sure Scotland benefits as much as possible from this project.
I will continue to update you, the Scottish supply chain, on the progress of NnG over the coming weeks.
In the meantime, please stay safe and stay at home.
Matthias Haag
NnG Project Director
