The delivery of two transformers to the site of the NnG onshore substation is expected to take place in November. Once installed these will help connect NnG to the National Grid.

The transformers will travel from Torness, with an escort and support vehicles, via the A1 and delivered to the substation site.

In order to complete these deliveries safely, a rolling road closure will be in place along the delivery route which is highlighted in red on the map pictured here.

Local bus services are not expected to be affected but unfortunately, due to the nature of these deliveries, pedestrian and bicycle access will not be possible through the rolling road closure.

The deliveries are currently expected to take place over one weekend within the next month. The date of delivery will be confirmed on this website.
